STILLEN Dyno | The Numbers
From the factory, the Hyundai Elantra N is rated at 276 flywheel horsepower. On the STILLEN dyno, the team measured a maximum wheel horsepower output of 234 horsepower at 5,700 RPM* — about a 15% drivetrain loss, which is normal. After installing the TruControl V2 by STILLEN Inline Power Module, the dyno recorded a maximum output of 279 horsepower at 6,100 RPM* — making the wheel horsepower output higher than the factory flywheel rating, for an overall gain of more than 55 flywheel horsepower* and a total engine output of roughly 335 flywheel horsepower*.
Torque gains were even more dramatic. Maximum torque from the factory measured 243 ft. lbs. at 2,650 RPM*. With the TruControl V2 by STILLEN Inline Power Module installed, the test Elantra N put down 294 ft. lbs. of torque at 3,200 RPM* — an increase of more than 50 ft. lbs. at the wheels*.
