STILLEN is excited to introduce the all-new "Street Series" Cat-Back Exhaust System for the 2023+ Nissan Z — a cat-back exhaust built from the ground up to deliver the best flow, the best sound, and the best performance for Nissan's reborn sports car. Throughout development, STILLEN's engineers ran through multiple Nissan Z exhaust configurations and prototypes before landing on this final design.

After months of testing, the team determined the best cat-back exhaust design starts with a stainless steel flange and precision TIG welds. That flange connects to 2.5" stainless tubing leading into a CNC-bent, CNC-machined X-pipe.
During development, the team also tested a true dual exhaust configuration but found it ran too loud and too flat-sounding — a common trait of twin-turbo V6 engines like the Nissan Z's VR30DDTT. At the same time, the team didn't want to choke performance by merging the dual 2.5" tubes into a single, restrictive 3" mid-pipe.
The solution was an X-pipe offering roughly 4" of cross-sectional area. This design let the team merge the left and right exhaust banks, dramatically improving the exhaust note without restricting flow, while still fitting the largest possible collector through the Z's narrow center chassis tunnel.
From the X-pipe, exhaust gases travel through CNC mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing into a pair of TIG-welded, high-polish mufflers. STILLEN engineered new proprietary tooling specifically to build these mufflers in-house, allowing the team to precisely TIG weld the polished stainless bodies and end caps. The result is a "stack of dimes" weld finish complete with a vivid, multi-color heat-burn trail.
The Nissan Z cat-back exhaust system is further reinforced by a STILLEN-branded cross-brace that accents the system visually while adding structural support. Customers can choose from three exhaust tip finishes to match their build.
