Cooler Air, Less Turbulence: STILLEN's New Intake Scoop for the Sierra 1500

After plenty of requests from GMC owners, STILLEN is excited to announce the launch of the TruPower by STILLEN Cold Air Intake Scoop for the 2019+ GMC Sierra 1500 (TP403503).

During development and testing of this intake scoop design on the Chevy Silverado, which shares the same intake architecture as the Sierra 1500, we recorded significant reductions in intake air temperature, along with faster cool-down through the factory intake air temperature sensors. We pulled all of that data directly through the OEM OBD2 system, so these aren't just estimates, they're measured results.

This cold air intake scoop addresses a flaw built into the factory design. GM's stock setup uses a latticework panel across the front of the intake, so air enters through the grille, travels up the face of the radiator, passes through that latticework material, and only then reaches the intake tract.

We eliminated those extra steps entirely. The STILLEN design uses a simple, direct flow path: air comes in through the grille and goes straight into the intake tract, with no detour past the radiator and no heat pickup along the way. The scoop actually isolates the intake from radiator heat rather than routing air past it.

That stock lattice panel does more than just block airflow, it adds turbulence and heat as air works its way toward the intake tract. With the STILLEN Intake Scoop, that problem goes away. It fits every trim level of the GMC Sierra 1500 and every available engine option on the platform.
